A brilliant album with folk choral voices set in very pastoral music (despite the presence of drums). Unusual with an extraordinary male soloist voice (Robbie Wilson) and an interesting use of organ, strings, trumpets and effects. With only a song of less than five minutes and three of seven this album deserves more than the "Crossover" label than "Folk" even if the band is called Post Rock / Modern Classical - and for both definitions there are definite presences . There is also a strong feeling of choral influence of the church. While Robbie sings - and the effects cause a church-like echo - one cannot help but feel transported to some sacred or angelic place. Amazing to have this kind of voice singing about the music of Post Rock / Folk Rock! "Progressive" in the true sense of the word. It is certainly an extraordinary album, from the beginning to the end that recalls Fleet Foxes and The Decemberists, and that plays music by Sigur Ròs and Radiohead. Songs / Tracks Listing 1.
