"I like to think of instrumental pieces (or more generally without lyrics) as sound stories. They are the products of an abstract art, in which all the suggestion of the listening experience derives simply from a succession of sounds: not there are neither images, nor words, so it is the notes that have to tell a story. I believe that this last aspect must be at the center of the creative process, so as not to run the risk of creating purely aesthetic products that have nothing to tell and which, therefore, do not convey emotions.

In this album I tried to tell stories using only the piano."
